Abstract
The purpose of the study is to present an innovative pedagogical concept that defines the goals, objectives and content of professionally oriented foreign-language training (POFLT) for business students, the principles on which it is based, and the conditions for their implementation. The concept reflects a strategic course for education reform in Ukraine to update the foreign-language training for future entrepreneurs and businesspeople to meet international standards, and to satisfy the personal needs and interests of future specialists to contribute to their self-fulfilment in the global multicultural and multilingual professional space. The theoretical value of the study lies in the theoretical generalisation and new solutions to the problem of foreign-language training for business students in the context of globalisation, which is reflected in the innovative concept of POFLT for future specialists. The practical value is that the materials used in the study can be used to provide practical recommendations for improving foreign-language training in higher education in the context of the important role of foreign languages in the economy and in public life. The materials can be used in research, at methodological seminars and for student audiences. The concept that is presented allows for the creation of a complete picture of the new socio-professional type of training for future economists, entrepreneurs and businesspeople in which POFLT is an equal and equivalent component that is implemented in the context of modern world trends based on interdisciplinary integration. In turn, the points mentioned above form the basis for further research, particularly for the development of level-based programmes, the creation of innovative methods, and techniques for the professionally oriented polylingual training of non-linguistic students in the context of European integration, entry into the European scientific and educational space in the context of globalisation.
