FEATURES OF TEACHING METHODS AT THE FERENZ RAKOCZY II TRANSCARPATHIAN HUNGARIAN COLLEGE OF HIGHER EDUCATION

Abstract
In any social situation, an organised communication environment is a necessity. Usually, such a communication tool is called a language. The purpose of the study is to identify the features of teaching methods related to the multilingualism of studentsÕ education at the Ferenz Rakoczy II Transcarpathian Hungarian College of Higher Education. The authors of the present study conducted a theoretical analysis, synthesis, and generalisation of research and methodological data relating to the methods of organising the training of multilingual higher education students. The study considers the specific features of teaching methods at the Ferenz Rakoczy II Transcarpathian Hungarian College of Higher Education, which are related to the multilingualism of studentsÕ education. The paper presents the features pertaining to the main forms of studentsÕ education: lectures, seminars, laboratory training, and practical training; field study; course work/projects; bachelorÕs, masterÕs, and doctoral theses; and consultation. In the learning process, it is impossible to study any particular topic using only one method. Teachers must use different methods during the educational process; in addition, a combination of methods is often used. In the learning process, these methods are often complementary. In addition, the study lists the most common teaching and learning methods, including their definitions. The teacher must select the appropriate method according to the particular purpose and problem. Multilingualism has been found to create an aspect of diglossia, where in contexts with two official languages, one language tends to dominate the other, commonly referred to as a subordinate language. This occurs upon consideration from a functional standpoint. Considering the main purpose of the lecture, only an experienced professor should be allowed to teach, since their theoretical knowledge, practical experience, and pedagogical skills guarantee high-quality lectures.
