The Journal of Linguistic and Intercultural Education (JoLIE) is an international, peer-reviewed academic journal, published annually by the Centre for Research and Innovation in Linguistic Education (CIEL) and affiliated with 1 Decembrie 1918 University of Alba Iulia, Romania.

 

JoLIE is indexed in Scopus and is committed to maintaining and further strengthening its international visibility, academic rigor, and editorial standards.

JoLIE is published primarily as a print-based journal, with selected articles made available online under clearly defined access and licensing conditions.

 

 

Situated in Central Europe, at the intersection of Romance, Slavic, Germanic, and Hungarian linguistic and cultural traditions, JoLIE provides a scholarly forum for research that engages with language, culture, and education in multilingual and intercultural contexts. The journal explicitly situates its contributions within international research agendas, addressing issues of relevance beyond regional or national frameworks.

 

Through a rigorous peer-review process and a commitment to editorial transparency, JoLIE supports the development of linguistic and intercultural education as a mature, internationally relevant field of inquiry.
