JoLIE publishes scholarly book reviews of recent publications relevant to the journal’s scope.

Reviews should critically assess the book’s contribution, situate it within current research, and identify its strengths and limitations.

Descriptive summaries without analytical engagement are not accepted.

As a rule, books published within the last five years are eligible for review.

Book reviews are normally commissioned by the editors. Unsolicited proposals may be considered.

Book reviews are subject to editorial evaluation, not external peer review.
