Invited editions and special issues

JoLIE publishes invited editions and special issues coordinated by guest editors with recognized expertise in the relevant field.

Guest editors are responsible for managing the editorial process of the invited edition, including the selection of submissions and the coordination of the peer-review process. All editorial decisions must take into account the independent evaluations provided by external reviewers. Guest editors may consult with the Editor-in-Chief and the editorial team at any stage of the process.

Invited editions and special issues are governed by the same editorial policies, ethical standards, and review procedures as regular issues of the journal. Guest editors are required to act in accordance with the policies of JoLIE’s Editorial Board and in compliance with applicable legal and ethical requirements, including those relating to plagiarism, copyright, and defamation.

All submitted manuscripts must be treated as confidential documents. Guest editors and editorial staff must not disclose information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, editorial advisers, or the publisher, as appropriate. Unpublished material disclosed in a submission must not be used in a guest editor’s or editor’s own research without the explicit written consent of the author(s).

The journal may issue a public call for papers for special issues, specifying scope, timeline, and guest editors.

The Editor-in-Chief retains overall responsibility and final authority for the publication of invited editions and special issues.
