Peer-review process

JoLIE operates a double-anonymised peer review process. Each submission that passes the initial editorial screening is evaluated by two external reviewers with relevant expertise.

Reviewers’ reports, including comments and recommendations, are communicated to the authors after completion of the review process.

The review process typically takes five to six months. Following a decision of accept or accept with revisions, the interval between submission of the revised manuscript and final publication may range from three to six months, provided that all reviewer comments and editorial recommendations are adequately addressed.

Manuscripts returned with a decision of resubmit after major revision undergo a new round of peer review and may be considered for publication in a subsequent issue. Failure to comply with revision deadlines, reviewer recommendations, or the journal’s style sheet requirements may result in rejection.
